Volunteer

Volunteers are necessary to continue saving community cats' lives! There are more ways to help than just fostering and adopting! TNR has many in-person volunteer opportunities.

COLONY ASSESSMENT
VOLUNTEERS

Before trapping begins, the trapping area must be assessed. This involves talking with the community to determine where the cats hangout, who feeds the cats, approximately how many cats are in the area, and their schedule. You can help pass out flyers and door hangers to prepare for trapping! If you speak Spanish, that's an added bonus!

TRAPPING
VOLUNTEERS

Our biggest need is for trapping volunteers. The best part about being a trapping volunteer, is that you only need yourself and a mode of transportation! You will help set up traps and trap cats. No experience necessary.

TRANSPORT VOLUNTEERS

In addition to actual trapping, we always need help transporting our cats to their spay/neuter appointments! A reliable mode of transportation and a driver's license is required. In general, cats need to be transported from Long Beach to Sun Valley but we occasionally have different transport opportunities.

REMOTE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We have a variety of remote volunteering needs! Most of these type of opportunities require computer access. Please reach out for more information.

We also can use remote crafty volunteers who can make trap covers, collect newspapers, and other helpful tasks!

COOL CAT COLLECTIVE VOLUNTEERS

TippedEars has partnered with Cool Cat Collective, a boutique shop located in Long Beach. They have a few of our adoptable cats on site and we can use volunteers to assist in feeding, socializing, and cleaning litter boxes.
